I had been fooled as well. Then I saw a news, she won some election at the time and said on TV somehting like "I am a Hindu woman who had been elected by Muslim men and this shows BJP is all for sabka saath sabka vikas bla bla bla..."

If I'm not mistaken, her attire & demeanor is meant predominantly to impress her Muslim voters. Traditional Sikhnis do tend to dress conservatively, but she is actively portraying herself to pass off as a pakeezah. Her electorate in Haryana is an overwhelmingly Muslim majority area. Dalit or not, she's a smart woman, educated in UK, looks attractive... heck, if I were a Haryanvi speaker, I'd surely vote for this hottie.. at the very least, it would be good to see a pretty face plastered across town everyday, even though she's probably as good-for-nothing as any other candidate...
